Square Enix Is Suing The Developers Behind Mecharashi

Front Mission was a distinguished collection of video games and related media expertly produced by SquareSoft, which later evolved into Square Enix. The series was the creation Toshiro Tsuchida and underwent development by G-Craft, a studio that was eventually assimilated by Square. This studio later existed within Square Enix under the designation of Product Development Division-6.

It was recently back in 2022, Square Enix had plans for a revival of the series. They loaned out a license, adapted material, and attempted what would be considered a return to Mecha gameplay with Front Mission 2089 in collaboration with developer BlackJack Studios. The only problem is Square Enix decided to back down from the original vision.

Monster Hunter Wilds’ First Major Update Launches April 4th

During this week's Monster Hunter Wilds Showcase, producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced that the first free Title Update for the critically acclaimed and best-selling action RPG will be released on April 4, 2025. Title Update 1 introduces the leviathan monster Mizutsune, along with new challenges and features such as Arch-Tempered Rey Dau, the opening of the Grand Hub gathering area, and the inaugural Festival seasonal event, among other additions.

Last seen in Monster Hunter Rise, Mizutsune will be available to players at Hunter Rank 21 who speak with Kanya in the Scarlet Forest. Players who are new to the franchise or haven’t played Rise should prepare for Mizutsune's graceful attacks and immobilizing bubbles. For players at Hunter Rank 41 and above, tempered versions of Mizutsune will also start appearing in the environment.

Nintendo Switch 2 Is Getting Final Fantasy VII Remake and Bravely Default Flying Fairy

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is an expanded edition of the original remake featuring an additional story arc. Players follow Cloud Strife, a mercenary aiding the resistance group Avalanche in Midgar, as they confront the formidable Shinra Electric Power Company. This edition also includes the original story arc and FF7R Episode Intermission, which highlights ninja Yuffie Kisaragi.
